About TrussLab

TrussLab is a web application for the analysis, design and optimization of steel trusses. It covers the full truss workflow in one model: parametric geometry, loads and combinations, 3D FEM analysis, member checks to AISC 360-22, EN 1993-1-1, AS 4100:2020 and IS 800:2007, and optimization of geometry, topology and member sizes for lower steel weight.

Purpose

Roof, floor and bridge trusses are repetitive to model and size by hand or in general-purpose frame software. TrussLab generates the truss from a few parameters, regenerates it consistently when they change, and compares alternative layouts, so the time goes into design decisions rather than node and member input.

Verification

Analysis and design results are compared against hand calculations, classical reference solutions and the AISC design examples on benchmark models. The models, results and differences are listed on the verification page, and the model files can be downloaded and opened in TrussLab.

Data

Project files are saved on the user's device. Models are processed only to return results and are not used to train AI or machine-learning models. Details are in the privacy policy.

Integrations

Models are exported to DXF, Excel, SAP2000 and IDEA StatiCa, and sent live to ETABS, SAP2000 and Revit through Trusslab Desktop Connector. AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor operate TrussLab through its MCP server; setup is described in the documentation.

Contact

Questions on sales, licensing and enterprise plans are sent through the contact form.
