TrussLab: steel truss analysis, design and optimization in the browser
TrussLab generates steel truss geometry from parametric inputs (span, depth, panel count, truss type), solves it with 3D FEM analysis, checks every member to AISC 360-22, EN 1993-1-1, AS 4100:2020 or IS 800:2007, and searches geometry, topology and section sizes for a lighter design.
Capabilities
- Truss types: Pratt, Howe, Warren, Parallel chord, Pitched, Bowstring, Barrel, Tapered and Scissor.
- Load cases for dead, live, roof live, wind, seismic and notional loads, with editable combinations.
- Step-by-step calculation report for each member, per limit state and governing combination.
- Section catalogues: AISC, European, Australian and Indian.
- Export to DXF, Excel, SAP2000 (.s2k) and IDEA StatiCa; live push to ETABS, SAP2000 and Revit.
